techUK’s National Data Strategy Series
On 9 September the UK Government released its National Data Strategy for public consultation with input being sought on the approach and proposals by 2 December. The Strategy is a “framework for the action” government is looking to take on a wide range of data issues. As well as outlining the economic and social opportunities for better use of data by business, society and government, the strategy explores the role of data driven technology, including Digital Identity, Cloud, Data Centres and AI across the whole of the UK.
As part of the National Data Strategy public consultation techUK is holding a National Data Strategy series of events and roundtables to explore the proposals within the Strategy in more detail. This includes the opportunities for the better use of data by the public sector and in key areas such as the fight again climate change, the role and importance of the core data pillars outlined in the Strategy and the priority areas, or Missions, for action set out in the strategy.
