Event round-up: DWP Digital Market Engagement Event
On Thursday 13 October we were delighted to host DWP Digital for a market engagement event.
DWP Digital shared their technology strategy and commercial approach with attendees, with the aim of the event being to provide a more structured and proactive approach to market engagement across the Department's tech landscape.
DWP informed attendees where they are going over the coming years, share key focus areas and challenges that will be of use to suppliers in supporting DWP. DWP’s want is to be a function that is highly capable and leading in their delivery – so they remain very reliant and interested in working with the market in order to deliver outcomes.
The session opened with a welcome and outline of the day's objectives from Matthew Bradley, Chief Commercial Officer at DWP. Simon McKinnon, Chief Digital and Information Officer then provided attendees with an overview of DWP and Digital. Attendees then heard about Service Modernisation from Helen Roberts, Digital Director for Children, Retirement and Counter Fraud, DWP. Andrew Penrose, Head of Enterprise Architecture took attendees through the Strategic Reference Architecture, and we then heard about DWP's specific requirements.
The event ended with a Q&A session.
