Call for contributions: techUK’s emerging space tech activity

Thought leadership opportunities for members and stakeholders.

This September, techUK will be launching a new programme of activity on emerging space technologies. This will kick off on 20 September during our Tech & Innovation campaign week.

With the global space economy projected to grow from an estimated £270 billion in 2019 to £490 billion by 2030, we will explore how Government and industry can work together to ensure the UK secures its position as a space technology superpower.

Relevant technologies include (but are not limited to) future materials, satellites, Earth Observation, in-space mobility, and advanced manufacturing.

How to contribute

Members have the opportunity to:

  • Write an ‘insight’, to be published on our website during our Tech & Innovation campaign week (w/c 18 September) – guidelines are below and the submission deadline is 6 September
  • Be a panellist on our Industries of the Future webinar, taking place on 20 September from 2-3pm
  • Participate in a 2-minute video explainer for our website, outlining one thing that the UK must get right to become a space technology superpower

Reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in any of these opportunities.

Wider stakeholders, including non-techUK members, Government representatives, and academics, can also get in touch to find out more about how they can get involved.

Insight guidelines

  • All insights must be 600-1000 words in length
  • They can include images, infographics, and videos/vlogs
  • Add links throughout your text
  • Submit your text, along with an author name / job title / headshot and company logo, to [email protected] by 6 September
