Join us on Thursday 22 June (13:00 - 15:00 BST) for a workshop focused on mobile annula licence fees (ALFs).

DSIT’s recent Wireless Infrastructure Strategy includes a request for Ofcom to report on the effectiveness of ALFs by end of 2023.

Given the relevant work on the subject in SPF earlier this year as part of the consultancy study to review Market Mechanisms, and to assist members who are directly affected by ALFs who may input evidence to Ofcom’s review, this workshop is convened to draw on the expertise of the UK Spectrum Policy Forum to debate the subject and capture relevant evidence.

Agenda

  • Introduction – Tony Lavender
  • Annual Licence Fees (ALFs) for mobile spectrum – Chris Cheeseman BT
  • Recommendations of the Analysys Mason study – Chris Nickerson, Analysys Mason
  • Open discussion – Led by Tony Lavender
  • Independent viewpoint – do ALFs still have a useful role – Stephen Temple
  • Meeting close
