techUK is delighted to invite senior leaders from the cyber security sector to our London office on Wednesday 13 March (16.00-17.30) for an in-person roundtable discussion to inform the UK Government-commissioned McPartland Review. This discussion is aimed at Director-level individuals from larger organisations and C-Suite-level from SMEs.

*Please note that there is a separate roundtable arranged for senior business leaders from the wider technology sector. You can sign up for this one here.

The UK Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden and Technology Secretary Michelle Donelan have commissioned Rt Hon Stephen McPartland MP to lead an independent review looking at cyber security as an enabler to build trust, resilience and unleash growth across the UK economy.

techUK is hosting this roundtable to gather views from senior business leaders across the technology industry to input into the Review. This will inform the government’s approach to supporting businesses to enhance their cyber security and enable a safer environment for conducting business in the UK.

The roundtable – which will be led by Review Chair Stephen McPartland – will explore questions such as:

  • What are organisations’ main barriers or challenges to digitising faster and more securely?
  • How can enhanced cyber resilience be used as a competitive advantage or source of innovation, demonstrating clear return on investment?
  • To what extent does the open market correctly respond in the pricing of finance or insurance policies to account for cyber risk?
  • How do organisations ensure the compliance and alignment of their cyber security standards and practices with the international norms and regulations?

To register your interest in attending this roundtable, please fill out this form as soon as possible before 12:00 on Monday 11 March.

We are operating this event on a first-come-first-served basis and will be in touch to confirm whether you have a space or not as quickly as we can.

PLEASE NOTE: If we’re unable to offer you a place at this roundtable discussion due to capacity, or you’re not a senior leader in your organisation, please rest assured that there will be other opportunities to engage and input to the McPartland Review through techUK. We would also encourage you to submit your own response to the Call for Evidence.
