The Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Sir Mark Rowley, launched the Met’s Turnaround Plan at the IET in January 2023. techUK, alongside other London leaders and stakeholders, joined the briefing to hear the plan and how it looks to refresh values for its people, setting out nine priority areas. Included in the plan is a call to complete a survey.
With the release of the plan, and the request to complete the survey, techUK will be running the following roundtable with Darren Scates, Chief Digital, Data and Technology Officer at the Metropolitan Police to provide an industry response to how the Met Police, harnessing digital technology and data, can deliver a better service – ‘More trust, Less Crime, High Standards’.
Your input into the discussions will help shape techUK’s response to the survey which will be shared with the Met Police directly, ahead of the submission deadline – 17th March.
The roundtable will firstly, look to answer the questions asked in the survey. Secondly, formulate an industry response to what more the Met Police can do to harness digital technology and data.
We are looking for members' thoughts on - the Met’s turnaround plan, and the questions posed via the survey and we will also be asking some specific questions relating to a number of the key themes and challenges highlighted in the plan. Agenda and shaping questions to follow.
