techUK are teaming up with Tussell, provider of market intelligence data on the public sector, to bring you the latest insight on justice contracts and spending.

Tussell founder, Gus Tugendhat, former Thomson Reuters managing director and Lazard investment banker, will join members to give the inside track on top suppliers, top buyers, trends and expiring contracts.

Digital transformation is not a new goal for public safety services as they work to protect citizens and respond to crime. With the impact of the public health crisis, we have seen areas across public sector accelerate in their adoption and understanding of digital tech to support services, but we still have a long way to go. So, what have we learnt from 2020 about how our criminal justice system has been impacted by COVID-19? What challenges has it faced and, what do we foresee tech changing as we move into the new year? Are we seeing police forces more open to adopting new transformative technologies?  This event is an opportunity to be better informed of the challenges facing the sector, understand how suppliers can help and sell into this market, but also help you understand trends and what is being procured and by whom.  

Back in June, the Justice & Emergency Services Programme ran a webinar looking at ‘Emergency Services post-COVID’ as we slowly started exploring this area and understanding in the 3 months since the start of lockdown, what those challenges were across the justice system and what members have done to support in the response to the pandemic. Georgie Morgan

Head of Justice and Emergency Services | Fraud and Economic Crime Lead, techUK

Georgie joined techUK as the Justice and Emergency Services (JES) Programme Manager in March 2020, progressing to Head of Programme in January 2022. Her portfolio then expanded in January 2024 where she now leads our work across fraud and economic crime. 

In her current role, Georgie leads techUK’s engagement and initiatives across the blue light and criminal justice sectors. She works closely with industry and stakeholders to drive innovation, address challenges, and anticipate future needs, while showcasing the critical role technology plays in delivering essential public safety and justice services. Through the JES programme, she provides a platform for suppliers, helping them navigate and establish themselves in the blue light and criminal justice markets.

Before joining techUK, Georgie spent four and a half years managing a Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) in Westminster. Collaborating with the Metropolitan Police and local councils, she focused on mitigating the impact of crime on the business community. Her efforts spanned addressing low-level street crime and anti-social behavior to managing critical incidents and violent crime.
