New Border Innovation Hub Goes Live

Cabinet Office has published a Border Innovation Hub where industry can find information and the tools it needs from across Government in order to innovate at the border.

The hub is part of Government’s technology and innovation roadmap outlined in the 2025 UK Border Strategy which set out the UK’s ambitions for the border over the coming years. It has been created to serve as a first point of contact within Government for cross-cutting border innovation-related enquiries and proposals, communicating on behalf of the whole of Government regarding these matters and creating connections into expert technology teams across border agencies.

The Border Innovation Hub provides links to border-related Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) which enable suppliers to integrate their solutions with Government systems.

Government is also seeking to set standards with industry around data sharing, interoperability and security; and as these are developed they will be hosted on the hub in order to support the development of new solutions.

The hub will also be updated with opportunities for industry to join pilots and to apply for Government procurements.

You can access the Border Innovation Hub here.
