Join our Digital Asset Working Group

Interest in Digital Assets and the application of blockchain in FS has been growing for some time and recent developments include the creation of regulatory regimes for cryptocurrency, work by the Law Commission to create a new class of property covering digital assets as well as the uses of tokenisation for securities to aid trading and prevent fraud in payments.

In order to help members shape this exciting area, techUK are convening a working group focused on the landscape surrounding the adoption frameworks and regulatory perimeter of a broad range of digital assets, which will be chaired by Matt Green of law firm Lawrence Stephens. Matt is a litigator and has been involved in the setting of case law in this area and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise which he’s keen to put to use for the benefit of fellow techUK members.

To register your interest, please fill in your details to the form linked here by Friday 31 October and provide details of any matters they wish to raise in the first working group meeting scheduled for Thursday 14 November 2024, at the techUK office in London and online.

As this is a member-led group we are keen to hear your thoughts of what topics should be up for discussion. In the form make sure to include your understanding of what are the current and future points of interest or concern are relating to block chain and digital assets.

We look forward to hearing from you.
