Be part of the techUK Local Digital Capital Index Working Group!

We are inviting techUK members to apply for a seat on the Local Digital Capital Index Working Group and to be involved in the creation of the third edition of the Index which we will publish later in this year.

The Local Digital Capital Index is a guide that describes the impact and value technology can bring to a region, showcasing its strengths and providing direction for development. It can be used by policy makers to address the challenges faced by each nation and region in the UK more confidently using data that shows where investment should be directed. The Index helps build a strong tech ecosystem between sectors, policy makers, companies and government by providing data that encourages collaboration between regions.

The second iteration of the Index was launched in October 2022 and brought a more granular examination of the regions of the UK and showed a clear north - south divide and urban - rural divide. The strong results in some regions shows the potential for growth of the UK’s digital tech sector.

Being part of the Local Digital Capital Index Working Group you will be able to shape a valuable tool for the UK’s local tech ecosystems and support the development of local projects, strengthening economic growth and the tech sector across the UK.

Get in touch with Ileana Lupsa at [email protected] or Matt Robinson at [email protected] to join the group or if you have any questions. Deadline for application is by 24 February 2023.
