Throughout the year, techUK provides a range of services to it's SME members, ensuring we are working collaboratively to help raise their companies profile and win new business.
techUK’s markets programmes run regular briefings, connecting members with their end customers, especially across government departments.As well as having the opportunity to hear about their future plans and opportunities, these events also offer an excellent opportunity to network, both with the customers themselves, as well as potential partners.

Innovation Dens allow small and mid-sized member companies the opportunity to pitch their ideas to both government departments and the private sector who are delivering transformation programmes.

This podcast explores the importance of skills in creating a thriving tech sector in the UK. Sarah Atkinson, Global Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Micro Focus and former chair of the Skills & Diversity Council talks about the variety of ways tech skills can be taught, while work experience student Abi Pearson interviews techUK President Jacqueline de Rojas CBE on what the barriers are to women entering the tech sector and how we can create more inclusive workplaces.
The techUK Podcast - SMEs and the impact of COVID-19
techUK's Member Relations Manager, Fraser Willcox, looks at the impact of COVID-19 for tech SMEs. Joining Fraser on the podcast is Zoe Cunningham, Director at Softwire, and Tarquin Folliss OBE, Vice Chairman at Reliance acsn, as they discuss adapting to new ways of working, challenges faced, lessons learnt and the key to recovery for SMEs in the tech sector.
Throughout the year the programme teams at techUK run various campaign weeks, providing members with the opportunity to contribute guest blogs, tweets, case studies and video content on a given theme, enabling them to raise their profile by demonstrating their thought leadership.
Members can stay up to date with campaign weeks by setting their communication preferences to recieve specific events, opportunities and newsletters for programmes of interest.
techUK's Central Government programme ran its fifth SME Campaign Week, from 8 - 12 June 2020. It explored the technologies that SMEs can deploy to support our public services, but also the barriers they face accessing the public sector tech market. It provided our members and stakeholders the opportunity to look in depth at the vital role SMEs can play in the transformation and delivery of public services.
