Join the UK SPF for a workshop addressing Earth Exploration Satellite Services (EESS) Issues Under Agenda Items (AIs) 1.19 and AI 1.18.
This workshop will focus on key issues related to Earth Exploration Satellite Services (EESS) under the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WRC-27) Agenda Items 1.19 and 1.18. It will also touch on relevant aspects of Agenda Item 1.7. The session aims to explore the current and future spectrum requirements for EESS, which play a vital role in supporting scientific research, environmental monitoring, and climate observation missions.
In addition to technical considerations, the workshop will provide a platform for a range of stakeholders—including space agencies, regulators, and industry representatives—to share their perspectives on the implications of these agenda items. Discussions will address spectrum management challenges, including coexistence and sharing studies, and examine the broader regulatory landscape affecting EESS operations. The goal is to foster informed dialogue that supports the development of coordinated UK and international positions ahead of WRC-27.
Agenda and speakers to be confirmed shortly.
