Join the UK SPF for a workshop addressing Earth Exploration Satellite Services (EESS), Space Science (SS), and Space Research Service (SRS) Issues Under Agenda Items (AIs) 1.19 and AI 1.18.
This workshop will focus on key issues related to EESS, SS, and SRS under the ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 (WRC-27) Agenda Items 1.19 and 1.18. It will also touch on relevant aspects of Agenda Item 1.7. The session aims to explore the current and future spectrum requirements for these services, which play a vital role in supporting scientific research, environmental monitoring, climate observation, and space-based exploration missions.
In addition to technical considerations, the workshop will provide a platform for a range of stakeholders—including space agencies, regulators, and industry representatives—to share their perspectives on the implications of these agenda items. Discussions will address spectrum management challenges, including coexistence and sharing studies, and examine the broader regulatory landscape affecting EESS, SS, and SRS operations. The goal is to foster informed dialogue that supports the development of coordinated UK and international positions ahead of WRC-27.
Agenda and speakers to be confirmed shortly.
