Our latest research suggests that one third of citizens believe their council does not act in the best interest of citizens and expect their local council to do more. Focussing on citizen need and expectations can help councils prioritise investment to deliver the greatest value for citizens. Evidence suggests there is an intrinsic link between the experience citizens have when interacting with public services, their attitude towards the sector and public service outcomes.
