The Procurement Reform Team at the Ministry of Defence will brief techUK members on The Procurement Act 2023 and what it means for the Defence industry.

The purpose of the Act is to create a simpler and more flexible commercial system, opening procurement up to new suppliers including small businesses, and ensure greater transparency.

The team will set out the timescale for implementation going live in October 2024, and what companies can do now to prepare themselves before then.

The briefing will be followed by Q+A, and then a presentation on the work of techUK’s Defence Commercial Business Forum.
