The Government has opened a number of consultations on regulation relating to self-driving vehicles as part of their plans to get them rolled out in the UK in the coming few years. techUK and our Self-Driving Vehicles Working Group are playing a leading role in responding to these consultations and feeding in our members' views, ideas, and concerns. Two of these consultations — on the Statement of Safety Principles and on the Misleading Marketing — close at the end of the month, and techUK has prepared draft replies for each, which members can view below
In this webinar, we will go through the responses that we have drafted, explain our thinking, and set out the broader context in which these consultations are set. We would like to get as much feedback and as many ideas as possible from members to inform our final drafts, so we would be grateful if attendees could read through the drafts and come to the webinar with ideas and questions prepared. We will take account of everything raised during the event to ensure that our response represents and reflects the views of techUK members as best as possible.
