GITEX Europe 2025, one of Europe’s largest tech and startup event, takes place from May 21–23, 2025, at Messe Berlin, Germany, advancing Europe’s digital future in partnership with the world. techUK will be working with GITEX to organise a series of engagements for members on the sidelines of the event to provide members with opportunities to network, connect to businesses and investment agencies and understand the DACH region ecosystem.
Members in the delegation will be offered access to a conference pass, invitation to networking events, UK directory profile, company logo on the techUK wall graphics on the pavilion and access to the UK pavilion networking area and refreshments. You also have the option to manage a round table / workshop that could include members of your delegation and European contacts.
There will also be opportunities to be involved corporate leaders program and have a stand on the UK Pavilion, which provides further speaking opportunities at the event.
techUK members are invited to participate in the delegation and we are looking for members who meet the following criteria:
- you agree to participate at CEO/C-Suite level
- you have a business presence and/or expansion plans into DACH Region
- you accept that you will be responsible for booking your travel and accommodation, while techUK will organize the agenda, provide content and logistics support.

Ed Bevan
Head of SME Engagement, techUK
Ed is Head of SME Engagement and is responsible for shaping techUK’s proposition to our SMEs across the country, ensuring our policy work, market access activity and services benefit the SME community.
Prior to working at techUK, Ed worked in the at the Department for International Trade, engaging with a variety of businesses, particularly SMEs, to understand the benefits of Free Trade Agreements and act as case studies in press and social media. Ed has also worked in policy and public affairs within the voluntary sector, namely the Alzheimer’s Society and the Men’s Health Forum.
Ed holds a MA in International Relations from Leiden University, and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his son, travelling, and visiting historical sites.

Sabina Ciofu
International Policy and Strategy Lead, techUK
Sabina Ciofu is International Policy and Strategy Lead at techUK, where she heads the International Policy and Trade Programme. Based in Brussels, she shapes global tech policy, digital trade, and regulatory cooperation across the EU, US, Canada, Asia-Pacific, and the Gulf region. She drives strategy, advocacy, and market opportunities for UK tech companies worldwide, ensuring their voice is heard in international policy debates.
With nearly a decade of previous experience as a Policy Advisor in the European Parliament, Sabina brings deep expertise in tech regulation, trade policy, and EU–US relations. Her work focuses on navigating and influencing the global digital economy to deliver real impact for members.
A passionate community-builder, Sabina co-founded Young Professionals in Digital Policy (800+ members) and now runs Old Professionals in Digital Policy (more experience, better wine, earlier nights). She is also the founder of the Gentlewomen’s Club, a network of 500+ women supporting each other with kindness.
She holds advisory roles with the UCL European Institute, Café Transatlantique (a network of women in transatlantic tech policy), and The Nine, Brussels’ first members-only club for women.
Recognised by ComputerWeekly as one of the most influential women in UK tech, Sabina is also a sought-after public speaker on tech, trade and diversity.
Sabina holds an MA in War Studies from King’s College London and a BA in Classics from the University of Cambridge.
She is a frequent traveler and a marathon runner.
