techUK will be hosting members of the Police Digital Service (PDS) Senior Leadership Team for a hybrid roundtable as they look to refresh the National Digital Policing Strategy 2020-2030.
In 2020, PDS, in partnership with NPTC, published the National Policing Digital Strategy. This year, PDS are carrying out a three-year review and refresh of the strategy. The plans for this were shared at the techUK Interoperability working group in January, including the proposal to create measurable delivery plans for all stakeholders of the Police Digital eco system.
The consultation phase of the refresh has commenced and PDS has requested that TechUK host an engagement session with industry representatives so that they can give details of the refresh, delivery plans and to seek feedback from the representatives.

They are particularly keen to discuss views around the following;
- What challenges are the developers and resellers of policing systems experiencing with data sharing?
- What improvements could be made to procurement practices?
- What are the main barriers to innovation within Policing?
- What would you like to see included within a ‘minimum acceptable standard’ delivery plan for industry?
- How would you rate PDS and Policing as a whole as ‘intelligent customers’
- How would you react to an independent ‘scoring review’ of all suppliers of digital / tech / data services to UK Policing?
- Would an ‘assured for Policing’ accreditation scheme aid in the delivery of minimum acceptable standards for systems, services, security, commercial practice and interoperability?
- How can PDS help deliver a ‘Competitive and Thriving’ marketplace for all services and products within the tech / digital / data arena?

Georgie Morgan
Georgie joined techUK as the Justice and Emergency Services (JES) Programme Manager in March 2020, progressing to Head of Programme in January 2022. Her portfolio then expanded in January 2024 where she now leads our work across fraud and economic crime.
In her current role, Georgie leads techUK’s engagement and initiatives across the blue light and criminal justice sectors. She works closely with industry and stakeholders to drive innovation, address challenges, and anticipate future needs, while showcasing the critical role technology plays in delivering essential public safety and justice services. Through the JES programme, she provides a platform for suppliers, helping them navigate and establish themselves in the blue light and criminal justice markets.
Before joining techUK, Georgie spent four and a half years managing a Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) in Westminster. Collaborating with the Metropolitan Police and local councils, she focused on mitigating the impact of crime on the business community. Her efforts spanned addressing low-level street crime and anti-social behavior to managing critical incidents and violent crime.

Robert Walker
Robert Walker
Robert joined techUK in October 2022, where he is now Programme Manager for Health and Social Care.
Robert previously worked at the Pension Protection Fund, within the policy and public affairs team. Prior to this, he worked at the Scottish Parliament, advising politicians and industry stakeholders on a wide range of issues, including rural crime and health policies.
Robert has a degree in Politics and International Relations (MA Hons) from the University of Aberdeen, with a particular focus on strategic studies and energy security. Outside of work he enjoys activities such as running, rugby, boxing and cooking!
