Government Property Agency GovPrint Market Engagement Session
1pm – 2pm24 November 2023
Online
On Friday 24 November (13.00-14:00) techUK is delighted to be hosting the Government Property Agency (GPA) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for an online supplier engagement session following publication of CCS PIN (2023/S 000-033968) which will help to shape the GPA and CCS’ plans for GovPrint within the new RM6361 framework agreement.
GPA has been deploying GovPrint across central government including GPA hubs and client locations for the last four years. GovPrint provides a cloud based shared print service supporting secure submission of print jobs and release at any GovPrint device using building passes. This allows multiple government departments to access a common shared service enabling end users to roam and access print services across multiple locations.
GovPrint is part of a suite of products being delivered to support an interoperable shared Property Technology (PropTech) stack and others include GovWifi and GovPass. The aim of these services is to create interoperable buildings that enable civil servants to work seamlessly across locations.
As the GovPrint service scales, GPA needs multiple suppliers that can deliver GovPrint services at the same time. To achieve this GPA will require interoperability between each of these services. GPA is also working with CCS to explore how the GovPrint lot within RM6361 framework can support GPA’s strategic objectives.
About the webinar:
GPA are seeking to engage with potential suppliers to share GPA’s requirements for GovPrint interoperability, and due to the focus on a software solution, we are keen to engage with print software vendors as well as Value Added Resellers (VAR), and print hardware manufacturers. In the webinar GPA will provide an overview of the strategic direction for GovPrint, potential delivery models, the importance and value of interoperability, and the high level requirements for interoperability. GPA will also collect questions during and after the webinar, and answer where possible during the session.
Further information:
Following the webinar, GPA will share the presentation, additional background information, and a set of key questions for suppliers to respond to. To respond to the question set, in conjunction with CCS, GPA will be hosting individual 1-2-1 supplier meetings where suppliers will have the opportunity to discuss GPA’s requirements and provide their response to the documentation shared after the webinar. Details on how to register your interest for these sessions and provide responses to the key questions will be shared during the webinar and within the documentation. These sessions will take place between 6 and 19 December and will be available on a first come first service basis.
The outcome of this engagement will be used to shape GPA’s approach to interoperability and the strategic direction for delivering GovPrint across government and the wider public sector, including how RM6361 can support the procurement and delivery of GovPrint.
