Genomics is playing an increasing role in the medical landscape, which is set up to increase rapidly over the coming years.

To support this, we need interoperable systems and standards for ordering genomics tests, tracking their progress as they go through the system and allowing the subsequent test results to be integrated into source systems such as EPR systems.

To enable this, NHS England and Improvement have initiated an interoperability programme to meet the above challenge.

The existing supplier base has a huge role to play here, and therefore, we’d like to invite you to a workshop taking place at the techUK offices on the 4 October from 14:00-17:00. This workshop will be of interest to EPR vendors, both primary and secondary care suppliers, as well as LIMS suppliers.

The aim of this workshop is to:

  • Outline the genomics interoperability vision
  • Share early thinking on standards and architecture
  • Discuss options and alternatives
  • Outline next steps.
