Event Round-up: How can technology enable safer, smarter cities post-COVID?

The pandemic has upended life for millions of people and tipped the UK into the worst slump in over 300 years.

As the UK’s vaccination programme continues to advance, lockdown restrictions are set to ease and decision-makers across the UK are facing unprecedented levels of uncertainty.

With this in mind, techUK recently delivered a forward-thinking workshop exploring the role that digital technologies can play in reducing exposure to COVID-19 and, more broadly, in building back public trust and confidence in the systems and services that we depend on to thrive.

On the day, techUK welcomed a diverse range of leading technologists who explored the art of the possible and concentrated on tangible use cases, advice and digital capabilities that can de-risk the easing of restrictions.
