Deploying connected and automated mobility briefing with the Department for Transport, Innovate UK and Zenzic
The headline announcement for members is that CCAV, in partnership with Innovate UK, will be launching a competition to fund projects which focus on the commercial deployment of CAM. The competition runs in three strands, each looking at CAM from a different perspective: commercial deployment, mass transit and supply chain.
The competition will formally open for entries following a ministerial announcement on 23rd May.
It comes at a good time for the CAM sector after it was announced that the Government will bring forward legal reforms to allow for the roll-out of AVs in this Parliament. Michael Talbot, Deputy Head of CCAV and Jamie Hodsdon, Head of Future AV Policy, provided an update for members on what that announcement means for the sector and the Government’s current priorities.
The session recording is available to view below and the slides are available to download here.
