An industry briefing with Hounslow council

As part of Digital Festival Hounslow, techUK was pleased to be partnering with Hounslow council for an industry briefing with members. Mark Lumley, Director of Digital and IT presented the councils future digital plans and priorities as well as some of the work already in flight.

The briefing provided members with a real understanding of the ambition and ethos of the council. Mark gave an overview of the council’s mission and values as well the framework for transformation and delivery. Mark shared the four pillars of the strategy which are grouped in to four main pillars:

  • Staff and workforce
  • Service and customers
  • Place and community
  • Collaboration and data

Mark stressed that they have a community centered design approach, not constrained by silos and having a whole system approach in everything they do. It was clear why Hounslow Council was recently named Council of the Year at this year’s Local Government Chronicle Awards!

You can watch the full session below, which includes upcoming procurement opportunities.
