techUK has partnered with Willis Towers Watson to put on a webinar on TCFD compliance now requirements have come in to force. Even if firms are not obligated to report, it is to be expected they will be required to disclose more info on carbon risks due to suppliers and customers demanding more. While the UK may be among the first to require disclosure we’re also expecting UK regulations shortly as well as a plethora of EU requirements due to CSRD passing and various member state actions.

TCFD is the UK Government’s Framework for which businesses of mandatory size must report in line with. It has been created to put greater onus on businesses to drive the change towards net neutrality, rather than wait for Government intervention, as well as build resilience to climate change within businesses’ long-term strategies.  As such TCFD reporting has become mandatory for all PLC’s, Large Privates and LLPs, with the UK Government having previously set out expectations to roll out climate risk reporting requirements to the rest of the economy. It is therefore prudent for all organisations to be proactive around understanding their risk exposure and reporting requirements.

The webinar will be hosted on MS Teams and will be recorded for those who can’t make it.

What will this webinar cover?

  • Mandatory U.K. climate-related disclosure requirements and the wider outlook for climate disclosures and tech companies
