The new Social Value model (PPN 06/20) in now in place across central Government departments and arms-length bodies. Key areas of priority focus for delivering Social Value include Covid-19 recovery, tackling economic inequality, fighting climate change, equal opportunity, and wellbeing; and the model is based on the premise of encouraging Government suppliers to work differently while benefiting the communities they work across.

Many of techUK’s members have been calling for this for a long time, and are delighted to see the model published. Now that it’s been launched, members are keen to understand in detail how it is being implemented and, in particular, how it will be applied by each department.

techUK is, therefore, delighted to invite you to our panel event on 8 June where the Cabinet Office will provide a useful overview of the model and guidance in the context of digital suppliers, as well as an update on how the new model has been working since the beginning of the year.

Representatives from other Government departments, including Crown Commercial Service, will also take part in the event to talk suppliers through how they’re using the model in procurements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for members to get some useful advice about how to meet the requirements of the Social Value model, and to pose any questions you might have to Government representatives.

This important event is expected to be popular, so we would encourage you to book a place now.
