The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has launched a ‘call for views’ on the security and resilience of the UK’s data storage and processing infrastructure: Data storage and processing infrastructure security and resilience - call for views - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
It seeks perspectives and evidence from a wide range of industry stakeholders about data centre operators and their major customers, suppliers, partners.
This call for views is a significant milestone in the UK Government's mission to ensure the protection of the data infrastructure upon which our society relies. Although it won’t be the last opportunity for industry to have its voice heard, it is the earliest and one of the most significant, helping the UK Government to shape the future of your policy environment.
techUK will be hosting a roundtable with industry and government representatives (including DCMS, NCSC and CPNI) to provide an opportunity to ask questions and discuss some of the themes covered by the call for views.
This will form a base both for direct input to DCMS and help techUK formulate our own response.
