The Health Systems Support Framework (HSSF) went live in August 2018, providing a route to market for services that support integrated care, including shared care record systems, data architecture and digital and analytical tools to support frontline staff to move to more proactive population health management approaches.

On 22 April, Helen Whittle, Head of the HSSF, and Dean Davidson, Digital Transformation and Informatics Lead at NHS England and Improvement, will be joining members for an industry briefing chaired by Shane Tickell, Vice Chair of the techUK Health and Social Care Council and Founder and CEO of Temple Black, to provide an update on the framework.

techUK recently published its Ten Point Plan for Healthtech, which made a number of recommendations to streamline procurement of digital technology, including calling on the health and care system to move towards outcomes as the primary success factor for digital transformation and offering specialist training for procurement staff who are buying technology.

The NHSE/I team will provide an overview of the framework and upcoming opportunities, which will include digital staff passports, supported self-management, personalised care planning and occupational health and eLearning solutions. Their presentation will be followed by a Q&A with members.
