techUK is delighted to be hosting HMRC for a market engagement event ahead of their upcoming procurement for service covering PPE Websols. PPE Websols is the name for the Pre-Production and Production Environments (PPE) for the Web Solutions support tool (Websols) used by HMRC.
This session will allow HMRC to set out to industry the procurement, the current estate, what they are looking for, the requirements, timelines, and routes to market. The main purpose of the procurement is to provide HMRC with a series of services that will improve the overall user experience.
The current contract provides both in office and 24/7 (out of hours, evening, and weekends) support for services. Currently, PPE Websols supports 19 services and environments within the Northern Ireland Protocol, EU Transition and Making Tax Digital for Business Programmes within HMRC. The support provided encompasses infrastructure support, application development and application maintenance.
The Invitation to Tender (ITT) is expected to be issued in late August 2021, with a go-live date of 1 July 2022.
The procurement will be run in accordance with all the processes and protocols as laid out in the Crown Commercial Services framework agreements, and it will be published via the Technology Services 3 Framework, using Lot 3.
A final decision is to be made on the sub lots, the requirements are likely to fall under Lot 3b – Operational Management and Lot 3d – Application and Data Management. HMRC will seek supplier input to determine if this is to be tendered a single lot or two lots.
If you are on the relevant framework and think you have the capabilities and relevant solutions, then be sure to book your place now.
All efforts have been made by HMRC to ensure a level playing field and all evaluation and moderation will be auditable for the event.
