As part of Invest Newcastle's Sustainable City Conference, this event is hosted by Thoughtworks and Streets Consulting

Financial investment and fintech innovation play significant roles in our fight against climate change. The finance sector is uniquely placed to incentivise the transition to net zero emissions and support the shift to a sustainable economy. How can investment and lending in low carbon sectors be increased? Can fintech encourage more innovation and research in climate technology? This panel session will focus on the key components for success towards the city’s net zero carbon ambitions. The panel features a diverse line-up of speakers sharing regional, national and international experience and perspectives.

More and more fintech businesses are choosing Newcastle as a base for their business, bringing hundreds of skilled jobs to the region and this is an opportunity to come together and discuss how we can all play our part in creating a sustainable future for all.
