The Digital Transformation of Screening (DToS) Programme is one of the major transformation programmes being taken forward following the NHSX 2019 major review of NHS tech spending. Its purpose is to upgrade the technology on which the current and future national screening programmes are delivered, ensuring that the technology is safe, flexible, easy-to-use and that it leaves nobody behind.

There are currently commercial, technical, operational and clinical risks and drivers affecting the delivery of screening in England. The DToS programme seeks to address these issues by investing in the development and implementation of a new IT system to be used to identify screening participants, manage and track their screening journey, and capture high quality data on clinical outcomes.

Who is the event relevant to?

We are keen to gather insights and hear from suppliers with significant industry and delivery experience on digital transformation programmes, particularly within healthcare.

Colleagues from NHSX and NHS Digital will be in attendance, including specialists in technology architecture, commercial, and programme delivery. They will facilitate a workshop-based event to learn from suppliers for the benefit of the NHS and the public.

Suppliers can engage and input by:

  • Actively participating in discipline-specific workshops (agenda to be provided shortly)
  • Providing case studies/ anecdotal insights to support the delivery of the DToS programme
  • Providing insights that will help the DToS programme become a better customer and thereby improve the success of the programme.
