Over the last two years, and as sectors have implemented practices in accordance with NIS Regulations, techUK has been examining the challenges faced by Critical National Infrastructure in terms of cyber security. Like many sectors, the UK Oil & Gas industry faces some shared challenges related to significant increase in the adoption of digital technologies and the integration of IT and OT environments and skills. Equally, Oil & Gas faces some unique challenges such as the offshore, geographical challenges and increased interest in the sector from hostile actors, coupled with rapid business changes associated with the energy transition, and the target of net-zero emissions by 2050.

This event, run in partnership between techUK and OGUK and chaired by Willie Rennie, MSP for North East Fife, will be an opportunity to bring key stakeholders from the two sectors together to share knowledge and best practice on the challenges faced across Oil & Gas organisations, such as:

  • Determining and managing cyber risk
  • Securing the supply chain
  • Replacing aging assets
  • Keeping up with digital changes to the business
  • Attracting and retaining a highly skilled security team

Expert speakers are confirmed from Shell, Stork, Atkins Global and Genetec.

Please note that we will not be recording this session, so please do come along to listen in and put your questions to the panel!
