The fourth iteration of our aide-memoire to compliance obliga: updated

The fourth iteration of our aide-memoire to compliance obligations for data centre operators

Data Centre operators tend to struggle with the avalanche of compliance requirements, expressed in an alphabet soup of acronyms.   Back in 2017 we produced a digest of some of the most common and/or troublesome instruments where we graded them by burden, penalties and reputational risk.  We have just updated the healthcheck for the third time.  Last time we added SECR and the European Banking Guidelines and now we have included TM44 (regular inspections of air conditioning systems), plus proposed restrictions on red diesel and also the National Security and Investments Bill, which is limbering up in the background and could have implications for future data centre acquisitions.

If you come across, or are alerted to, a legislative requirement that is not on the list but has implications for data centre operators, then please get in touch and we will include it.

Don’t forget that this Compliance Healthcheck is not comprehensive so should never be regarded as a substitute for professional advice.
