techUK's Quantum Future Campaign Week
Quantum computing has been identified by government and industry as a key emerging and transformative technology that will have an impact on the UK’s long term digital and economic future. While the science behind quantum computing is increasingly being understood quantum enabled smart cities, healthcare systems and manufacturing may still be some way off. But techUK believes now is the time to explore what the full potential and possible impact of the development and commercialisation of quantum technologies could mean to the UK in the future.
On Monday 11th November, techUK kicks off its first evet Quantum Campaign Week which will look into the UK’s Quantum Future. Throughout the whole week techUK will be bringing you news, views and insights from the UK’s quantum leaders, the wider technology sector and key stakeholders on what this future could hold, what are the opportunities for the UK success and what steps do we need to take now to realise the full potential of this emerging and transformative technology. We will be sharing guest blogs and podcast interviews with business leaders, press articles and daily tweets during the week focusing on key issues that need to be explored as we consider what the UK’s Quantum Future could look like:

Monday – Vision and strategy for the UK’s quantum future

Tuesday – Opportunities for commercialisation and deployment: Where, when and how? (sectors/industries, convergence with ML/AI, IoT, cloud, smart cities, digital twins)

Wednesday – Cyber security and quantum: A match made in heaven?

Thursday – Possible challenges to the UK’s quantum future? How do we plan for success today? (investment, skills, supply chain development, sustainability)

Friday – What the UK needs to succeed and call to action?
