IET paper, 6G for Policy Makers
On 23 February the IET published a guide on shaping the direction of the evolution of wireless-based services, networks and technology over the coming 20 years.
The purpose of this guide is to equip these policymakers with an understanding of the opportunities from 6G to shape a better future, national wireless infrastructure and inform research priorities. This guide is timely as 6G is currently a blank sheet. Conversations are just starting in various parts of the world, and these will begin to define what sort of 6G emerges a decade from now.
The guide was edited by Professor Stephen Temple who is the Chair of UK SPF Cluster 2 which focuses on spectrum access and sharing.
Here is the relevant IET page.
Here is the report.
Jo leads the work of the UK SPF, the sounding board to government and Ofcom on medium to long-term spectrum issues in the UK and supports the delivery of the Communication Infrastructure Programme.
Prior to her appointment in 2018 Jo held positions at Islington Council, the Industry and Parliament Trust, Inside Government, and most recently at Smart Energy GB in policy and public affairs role. Here Jo predominately oversaw the organisations engagement with MPs and local government alongside external speaking opportunities.
Outside of work Jo likes spending as much time as possible with her dog Fudge, as well as cooking, watching live comedy, and running (but not that far or that fast).
