Event round-up: Government Property Agency Market Engagement event - Mobile Telephony Coverage
On the 1 December we were delighted to host a further market engagement event with the Government Property Agency (GPA), following on from the initial event on 19 October 2021. This event provided an opportunity for the GPA team to provide an overview of GPA's Mobile Telephony Coverage requirement and the upcoming procurement.
This requirement is one of the key IT services to support the Hubs Programme, this is a national programme of work transforming where and how Civil Servants work over the next 5 years+ as part of the Levelling Up agenda. To ensure effective and seamless working, Hubs will require effective IT systems integrated into all aspects of the building. As such, the GPA is looking to strategically procure innovative solutions across the following 8 product streams:
- Wide Area Network (WAN)
- Shared Network (Local Area Network)
- Mobile Telephony Coverage
- Audio Visual & Digital Signage
- ITSM
- Gov Print
- Room Booking
- Occupancy Management
Attendees heard from the GPA an introduction to GPA and the background of the Hubs Programme, their vision, the commercial overview including procurement timelines, the technical overview, a high level overview of where they are now with Mobile Telephony Coverage and the information required from suppliers. The event finished with a Question and Answer session.
