End of Transition Period: MOD Contact Details during the Christmas Holiday

Please find below a letter from Andrew Forzani, Chief Commercial Officer at the MOD: 

Dear Industry Partner,

END OF TRANSITION PERIOD:  MOD CONTACT DETAILS DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY PERIOD

You will be aware that negotiations are ongoing to define the UK’s future trading relationship with the European Union. 

We recognise that during this time you may need answers to urgent questions relating to your business with us. I have therefore put in place measures to ensure that you will be able to contact the department during the Christmas holiday, including at weekends, and during the period leading up to the end of transition. 

If your business does need to contact the MOD between now and 31 December about issues relating to the end of the transition period, you should in the first instance contact your direct customer within the department as usual. If your customer is not available, then you should alternatively contact the organisational points of contact listed in the Annex to this letter.

I have also put in place a central point of contact within the Strategic Supplier Management Team, which can be contacted at [email protected] and can be used if you cannot reach any of the other listed points of contact.

When contacting the department, it will aid us to respond effectively if you could provide details as follows:

• Is it a risk or a live issue?
• What programme will it impact?
• Is there any mitigation in place?

I would be grateful if you could share this advice widely within your organisation.  

I will write again once the trade negotiations have concluded with updated guidance on what this means for Defence.
