Dismounted Situational Awareness (DSA) Project Request for Information

What is DSA?

The User requires a company group level dismounted situational awareness and communication capability for Dismounted Close Combat. The Capability will increase operational effectiveness, by enabling enhanced decision-making, whilst reducing physical and cognitive burden. To enhance battlespace management, execution of operations and interoperability the capability must operate within the LE TacCIS architecture.

Request for Information

The DSA Project held an Industry Briefing Event in February and announced the intent to procure radios through the Crown Commercial Service Network Services 3 Framework. The DSA Project is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to understand the market response to this proposed radio procurement strategy. Specifically, the DSA team are hoping to gain a better understanding of the organisations interested in the DSA radio procurement, to gather ideas and feedback to help shape the Network Services 3 Tactical Radio Sub-Lot and the criteria for entry.

It is requested that respondents read the outputs from the recent DSA Industry Briefing Event before responding to the RFI as this material provides the necessary context. This material can be found on the DSA Defence Share page. Access to this page can be arranged by emailing [email protected].

Respondents may email any clarification questions to [email protected] by 5pm 31st March 2022. Note that clarification questions and responses will be published on our Clarification Question and Answers Forum and all Defence Share users will receive notification emails when new responses are published. We will not publish any commercially sensitive information.

The deadline for completing the survey is 5pm Thursday 7th April 2022.
