Skills and Inclusion Council
Our Skills and Inclusion Council brings together techUK members to support the wider diversity and inclusion agenda across the tech sector and take concrete steps to help the UK develop the skills it needs for the modern economy and address skills gaps.
We focus on the skills and conditions people and organisations need to take advantage of digital transformation, while supporting a more diverse and inclusive technology sector. We're addressing the changing labour market, the growing demand for digital skills and the importance of attracting, recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
Our objectives:
- Address digital skills gaps: We support action to help better match the growing demand for digital skills with the skills available across the UK.
- Support skills for the modern economy: We help ensure people and businesses have the skills and conditions needed to take advantage of digital transformation
- Champion diversity and inclusion: We support the wider diversity and inclusion agenda and a technology sector that attracts, recruits and retains a diverse workforce.
- Respond to the changing world of work: We consider how digitalisation and emerging technologies are changing the labour market and the skills people need for the future
- Promote access to opportunities in tech: We support work that inspires people into technology regardless of their background and helps create more inclusive workplaces.
