About this programme

Closing the gap between promise and practice

The adoption and innovation of technology across education is a long-standing UK strength, with the country home to many of Europe's leading EdTech companies. Alongside this, universities face significant financial pressures, while schools and colleges continue to experience uneven levels of technology adoption, while further education is playing an increasingly important role in supporting skills and economic growth.

Realising the full potential of technology across education is not without challenges. Universities continue to face financial pressures, while schools and colleges experience uneven levels of technology adoption. Fragmented structures, varying levels of digital maturity and concerns around wellbeing, safety and the impact of technology on young people can all affect adoption and implementation.

We connect the institutions, policymakers and technology providers that each hold part of the solution. We share good practice, support collaboration across the sector and ensure evidence, implementation and innovation develop together.

This programme sits within techUK's wider Government and Public Services work, connecting policymakers, educators and technology suppliers to help shape the future of education and EdTech.
