We are excited to invite you to join us on Friday, 10th March, from 14:00 to 17:00, for an engaging session where we will be preparing suggestions for the NavISP 2027 Element 1 work plan. Just like in previous years, our techUK colleagues have kindly offered to host this event at their offices in Farringdon (10 St Bride St, London EC4A 4AD). To make things even more convenient for you, the workshop is scheduled right after the PNTC forum in the morning, which means you can minimise your travel time and make the most out of your day.
During this workshop, the UK Space Agency (UKSA) is seeking valuable input from industry on the types of research you believe should be added to those offered by the European Space Agency (ESA) in 2027, ensuring that proposed projects benefit both the field and UK industry.
The projects should align with NavISP Element 1 practices, typically being in the early stages of research or having difficulties in securing funding, making them harder to directly commercialise. The main goal is to generate innovative concepts, techniques, technologies, and systems linked to the PNT sector, along the entire value chain.
Specific objectives:
· Perform feasibility studies and viability analysis for the emergence of new concepts in the PNT world.
· Contributing to the formulation and implementation of PNT technology innovation.
· Proof of concept of promising PNT-based services.
During this session, we will outline, prioritise, and in some instances, combine project suggestions. Writers will then be assigned to compose a paragraph for ESA’s consideration. Generally, the person who suggested a project will be responsible for following up on their suggestions.
Due to time and space constraints, we request that each organisation sends one delegate to attend and present their top three ideas for this year's Element 1 workshop. The event will be conducted in a roundtable format in-person and via an online dial-in option. We welcome both techUK members and non-members to join us.
We look forward to your participation and collaboration in shaping the future of NavISP.
