techUK’s session at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi will examine how nations can collectively harness AI to benefit all members, bridging digital divides and empowering every community.

Aligning with the UK-India strategic tech partnership, the panel underscores the potential for the Commonwealth and other international institutions and partnerships to act as a vital platform for collaborative, forward-looking AI governance and innovation.

The panel will explore where countries can find common AI strategies and standards under a shared vision of:

  • Shared compute and data initiatives to democratise AI resources
  • How to up-level the playing field for smaller or developing states
  • Collaboration in key sectors like healthcare, education, and climate resilience

Together we hope to demonstrate how collective innovation can address common challenges across nations currently upleveling on AI to mobilize broad support and resources.

The panel will emphasise joint efforts on establishing common AI standards and governance frameworks, developing skills across national partnerships, and expanding access to AI infrastructure, from data sharing to computing capacity, to ensure every nation can participate fully.

Through these collaborations and a shared commitment, the hope is to foster an ethos of partnership among equals and collectively advance equitable, responsible AI innovation.
