techUK is pleased to announce its new North West Telecoms Showcase.

techUK champions the tech sector throughout the UK. We work with local authorities, devolved government, and local and national policy makers to advocate for the tech sector in strengthening economic growth and resilience.

Based on the success of last year’s London Telecoms Showcase, techUK will be convening experts from across the region in industry, the public sector and the wider business environment to better understand how digital connectivity can accelerate growth throughout the North West of England.

Across a range of sessions, we will aim to better understand how connectivity in the region can help to supercharge economic growth and reduce regional inequality and digital exclusion.

We will aim to cover:

  • The barriers that local authorities and businesses face across the region in meeting the growing demand for fast and reliable connectivity.

  • How we can ensure the full rollout of fibre and 5G networks is inclusive and accessible.

  • What characteristics the region faces that other areas in the UK do not.

  • How SMEs can take full advantage of digital connectivity to boost growth.

  • How to better coordinate between business and local and combined authorities and the role that the public sector must play.
