The Cabinet Office and techUK invite you to a further briefing on HMG's requirements for its next generation of SECRET capabilities. This latest briefing will be introduced by Michael Shryane, Deputy Director for Enhancing Secret (CO) and speakers will include Laura Yeaman, the Rosa Chief Technology Officer (FCDO), Ed McCutcheon, Chief Architect at the Government Digital Service (GDS), and colleagues from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The event will update on HMG plans to renew cross-government platforms for working at the SECRET classification and expectations of the capabilities and user needs we want to deliver in this tier. HMG is seeking to drive innovation and resilience in its secure working environments, and this session is essential for understanding HMG’s technical and security roadmaps for that.

The briefing will also introduce the Iris Programme, now being established to build a successor system to Rosa, the current cross-government SECRET system. The Iris Programme represents a major, long-term opportunity for the techUK community to partner directly with HMG. We welcome your engagement with government experts to explore the vision, define the technological challenges, and discuss the pathways for commercial collaboration. Your expertise is vital in helping us establish the secure, resilient infrastructure required to meet the UK’s future national security requirements.
