On 3 June, techUK is hosting a workshop focused on laying the foundations for Day one of LGR.

With the government recently publishing its first LGR decisions for four of the devolution fast-track areas, the process is now under way. This creates both a significant opportunity for transformation and a challenge in preparing for vesting day.

This workshop will bring together councils and suppliers to explore the importance of establishing strong foundations for Day one, enabling the development of councils that deliver better outcomes for residents.

Attendees will work together in a collaborative environment to examine problem statements linked to vesting day and explore collective approaches to solving these challenges.

Councils will have the opportunity to engage with industry in a neutral setting, presenting problem statements and exploring supplier capability and what is possible in preparation for LGR.

Suppliers will have the opportunity to meet council leaders, explore issues related to LGR and vesting day, and share perspectives on collaborative solutions to support transformation in local government.
