Our Satellite Telecommunications Committee, run jointly by techUK and UKspace, brings together the UK’s satellite communications community. The Committee speaks for UK industry on current and planned satellite communications networks and services, puts members’ views to the UK Government, Ofcom, the UK Space Agency, Parliament and international bodies, and helps members grow their businesses at home and abroad.

What we cover

The Committee covers the full range of satellite telecoms, from research and development (including the European Space Agency’s ARTES programme) through to services and applications, both in the UK and overseas, including:

satellite broadband
satellite IoT
broadcasting infrastructure and services

Who’s involved

Members are companies and organisations from across the satellite and wider telecoms value chain, including satellite operators, manufacturers, service providers, technology companies, consultancies and research organisations.

Because spectrum matters so much to satellite services, the Committee works closely with our Telecoms programme, and many members also take part in the UK Spectrum Policy Forum.
