UK Spectrum Policy Forum

The UK Spectrum Policy Forum (UK SPF) is the UK's cross-sector forum for everyone with an interest in spectrum, with techUK acting as its secretariat. The purpose of the Spectrum Policy Forum is to be a pro-active industry-led 'sounding board' to UK Government and Ofcom on future policy and approaches on spectrum and a cross-industry 'agent' for promoting the role of spectrum in society and the maximisation of its economic and social value to the UK. We do this by exchanging news and views on developments in using spectrum, drawing on our industry expertise from around the world. The Forum brings together mobile, satellite, broadcasting, defence, transport, utilities, research and other spectrum users, and it covers both near-term issues and long-term spectrum strategy.

Joining the UK SPF puts your organisation at the centre of the UK spectrum debate. Members take part in regular plenary meetings and focused working groups, and they hear directly from senior Government and Ofcom officials. They help shape the research and reports that feed into policy decisions. Members also get early insight into UK and international developments, can raise their organisation's priorities with decision-makers, and can build relationships across sectors they might not otherwise meet. Spectrum is a scarce national resource that underpins connectivity, innovation and economic growth, so getting involved is the best way to make sure your voice is heard in decisions that will affect your business for years to come.
