Event Round-up: Building Cyber Resilience: Through People and Skills

On Thursday 24 April, techUK was delighted to host a webinar 'Building Cyber Resilience: Through People and Skills'. The event put a spotlight on how the skills within an organisations can help build an organisations resilience.

We were joined by the following panellists:

  • Debi McCormack, Communications Director and Early Careers Lead, The Cyber Scheme
  • Sally Walker, Non-Executive Director, With You With Me

The discussion focused on the following themes:

  • The main challenges in building a skilled, multi-disciplinary cyber team, and how can these be overcome.
  • How organisations can effectively identify critical skills gaps in cyber security and across the workforce, and what strategies can address these gaps.
  • The role  internal mobility can play in resourcing for cyber roles, and how can organisations effectively leverage existing talent and organisational expertise to fill these critical positions.
  • The ways cross-functional teams can improve threat detection and incident response capabilities to help build organisational resilience.
