Call for contributions: AI in the public sector – member case studies wanted
Across central and local government, the NHS, policing, and broader public services, our members are deploying AI to improve outcomes, enhance user experience, and drive efficiency. To build a clear, evidence-based picture of what’s happening on the ground, we are gathering real-world case studies from techUK members on the use of AI in the public sector.
These examples will be collated into a short report and shared with key public sector stakeholders, including the Government Digital Service (GDS), i.AI, the Cabinet Office, and others. Our aim is to:
- Highlight practical, impactful AI use cases already delivering value
- Demonstrate how suppliers are supporting safe, responsible AI adoption
- Inform future policy and procurement conversations with concrete examples
What we’re looking for
We are interested in any case study where AI is being used in or for the public sector, including but not limited to:
- Improving service delivery or citizen experience
- Increasing efficiency or reducing costs
- Supporting better decision-making or operational insight
- Enhancing resilience, safety, or compliance
Solutions can be at pilot, live, or scale-up stage – the key is that they are real deployments or clearly defined proofs of concept with lessons to share.
