Olivia Staples, Junior Programme Manager on the cyber resilience team, was joined by Annie Collings, Senior Programme Manager, who gave members an overview of the programme's policy work, and Stuart McKean, Chairman and Founder of Nine23, and vice-chair of the Cyber SME Forum and a member of the Cyber Resilience Committee, who shared his reflections on his work with techUK and how participation has strengthened his understanding of key cyber issues and given him a chance to play an active role in influencing cyber policy and contributing to the wider ecosystem.

The session showed how the programme will help you prioritise the topics and sectors most relevant to your 2026 goals, including an update on the machinery of government changes affecting cyber policy, the progress of the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill through the House of Lords, and the upcoming National Cyber Action Plan.

It also highlighted the events and opportunities across policy and market engagement activity, including sessions on AI and the cyber threat landscape, the new cyber security commercial agreement, and the annual Cyber Security Dinner on 6 October.

The cyber resilience programme is shaped by the priorities of our members and the key drivers influencing the sector. To make it easier for you to contribute and share your ideas, we've created a simple submission form where you can highlight the topics, challenges and opportunities you want us to focus on - Expression of interest in speaking at techUK cyber events
