Our Data Centres Energy Working Group advocates for the timely provision of energy infrastructure, shapes policies that enable a secure and low-carbon power supply for data centres, and coordinates industry input into national and regional planning processes, so that future energy systems can meet the digital sector’s needs.

Who we work with
The group engages directly with government and key stakeholders, including the National Energy System Operator (NESO), Ofgem and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). We contribute to major initiatives such as grid connection reform, the Strategic Spatial Energy Plan (SSEP) and the upcoming Regional Energy Strategic Plans.

Our Smart Infrastructure and Systems programme brings together industry, infrastructure operators, government and regulators to shape infrastructure policy and accelerate technology deployment across transport, energy and utilities.
