Self-Driving Vehicles Working Group
techUK's Self-Driving Vehicles Working Group (SDV-WG) brings together businesses from across our membership to support the deployment of Self-Driving Vehicles on UK roads.
Group purpose:
The SDV-WG is building political and public understanding of the benefits that automation can deliver for our transport system and wider economy. Its work also includes ensuring that the UK's regulatory system is fit-for-purpose and capable of supporting deployment on public roads. This work considers the industry's requirements from a technical, insurance and legal perspective, involving a diverse collection of businesses from across techUK membership.
Group governance:
The SDV-WG is led by an elected Chair and Vice-Chair that service for a two year term. While the group is open to all member companies, an expression of interest in required to explain how you will help support the its objectives.
Group engagement:
The SDV-WG meets formally five times per year, with regular ad-hoc meetings to drive forward policy development and thought-leadership. Members are contacted by an email distribution list.
